The stunning sequel to instant New York Times bestseller, Wicked Saints
Nadya doesn’t trust her magic anymore. Serefin is fighting off a voice in his head that doesn’t belong to him. Malachiasz is at war with who--and what--he’s become.
As their group is continually torn apart, the girl, the prince, and the monster find their fates irrevocably intertwined. Their paths are being orchestrated by someone...or something. The voices that Serefin hears in the darkness, the ones that Nadya believes are her gods, the ones that Malachiasz is desperate to meet—those voices want a stake in the world, and they refuse to stay quiet any longer.
In their dramatic follow-up to Wicked Saints, the first book in their Something Dark and Holy trilogy, Emily A. Duncan paints a Gothic, icy world where shadows whisper, and no one is who they seem, with a shocking ending that will leave you breathless.
This edition uses deckle edges; the uneven paper edge is intentional.
The heartache (for Nadya) continues. Book 2 is a sort of a redemption but the lying and backstabbing continues.
Enemies turned allies. A would be lover turned into a monster but shows some signs of the boy he once was.
Sarafin, Nadya…. Are on the run after Sarafin’s court rebels against him. He hopes that getting XXX back will calm the leader of his opposition and he’ll be able to get back to his throne. Thing is, Malachiasz has her and he’s not exactly approachable.
Nadya now has a new mission from her GODDESS and she needs Malachiasz in order to “set things right”.
Their journey is very difficult. Both emotionally and physically , because of all the dangers they come across.
The way that the relationships continue to evolve is very heart touching. The revelations and twists are so good! Nadya continues to struggle but grows at the same time. She continues to see that her whole life has been very restricted and she’s been lied to so many times. I really enjoyed seeing her continue to challenge her old beliefs and grow into a stronger woman.
Again, that ending…geez!!! Book 3 has to have lots of answers!
