Caleb Burke.
Charming. Funny. Sexy.
Major player - both on the field and with the ladies.
I hate him.
Well, not really. I resist his so-called charms because I recognize them. We’re a lot alike, Caleb and I. He’s afraid of commitment? Me too. A giant flirt? Same here. He knows how to party? I am the absolute queen of the party.
Until I realize it’s time for me to grow up and become a responsible adult. I’ll be student teaching next year, so to save money, I move in with my two new roommates -- Eli Bennett and Caleb. Then I find a summer job -- where Caleb works. Soon, I'm spending almost every single day with the guy.
He’s growing on me too. We’ve always had this unspoken chemistry brewing between us. When we finally give in to it, it’s just as spectacular as I secretly predicted. The sex, and everything else, keeps getting better and better between us too.
But can I really take this guy seriously? Or am I only setting myself up to fail?
What a fun and hot story this was! I haven’t read any of the previous books and I didn’t really feel lost when I jumped into this one. Sure, there are tons of mentions of things and people that were from the previous books but it doesn’t take away from the story.
Caleb Burke is a freaking god! Yes, he’s a manwhore but when he finally meets the right girl and said girl finally gives him a shot, he changes soooo fast that it’s sweet. I really liked having a female character who can be considered promiscuous and be confident about who she is and not care about what other people would say about her. I think society puts labels on and judge people based on their actions and never takes into consideration that we are free to do what we want and who we want…
Caleb and Gracie’s relationship is a slow burn. It has been building for years and so when things finally aligned and it finally happened it was like a 4th of July firework show. Not only was the sexy stuff AH-MAZING but seeing Caleb embrace a side of himself that’s been asleep for a long time was very touching.
In this book, Caleb had the biggest evolution. I don’t like to say he changed because he really doesn’t, he just opened up and accepted a side of himself that he wasn’t aware of/familiar with and he tuned out to be a pretty great boyfriend.
Is it obvious that I love Caleb????? Lol
Next up, is Eli’s story and it looks like it’s going to be explosive so looking forward to that!
