Crave Review – Book 1 of the Crave series.
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.
Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.
Which could spell death for us all.
Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.

Review
I had seen the cover of this book all over bookstagram and goodreads so it caught my attention. I put it on my list to check out when I got a chance but since I knew it had to do with vampires and I’m still reeling from the last two vampire series (From Blood & Ash and The Beautiful) I didn’t really want to commit to another one. BUT I had a little gap between a series I just finished and planning the next that I decided to jump into this one. And let me say how happy I am that I did!
I absolutely loved it! I did a bit of back and forth between the audiobook and reading and I loved both formats.
Loved the characters, loved Grace (especially when she had to keep taking punches because she was kept in the dark), loved Loved Jaxon, loved the dynamic between Grace and Jaxon, loved the relationship Macy and Grace developed, and I really enjoyed all the references made to pop culture. I also really liked Jaxon’s chapter, it was really fun to see a teeny bit of his head!
To me it was like Harry Potter – Twilight meets a tame version of From Blood & Ash. And since I absolutely love those series, this is on its way to making my all time favorite series too.
Highly recommend it!
