Welcome fellow booklovers!
Ever thought that it would be pretty useful to have cliff notes for books you read? Especially if it’s an ongoing series? Don’t get me wrong. I love doing re-reads but sometimes I just don’t have time to do a whole series re-read in time for the next book. Or how about a book you read a long time ago but can’t remember the specifics of it? Goodreads is a good place for reviews, spoilers, and excerpts, but sometimes a little depth is needed to truly remember.
Starting off, there will be a slow stream of both reviews and recaps of the various books that I read. As things progress, I hope to add on others to contribute to help create a bigger source of reviews & recaps. With time, other bookish things will follow.
Feel free to drop any suggestions of things that you’d like to see.
About Me
My love for reading started when I was 10 years old. My 5th grade teacher read Harry Potter to us and I had no choice but to fall in love! I’m originally from Mexico and English is my second language, so reading was how I practiced and improved my English.
Whenever my school had the Scholastic Book Fairs, I would go nuts buying books. Growing up my reading pillars were: Harry Potter, The Baby-Sitters Club, T*Witches, Sweet Valley Jr. High, Full House, and Nancy Drew.
Growing up, I didn’t really have anyone to share my reading preferences with and so I was a lone bookworm. It wasn’t until recently that I discovered the amazing online bookish community and have found so many people that I share many interests with. Being part of this community has introduced me to many different genres and authors that I didn’t have access to before. And because of this my TBR is now miles long!
My current favorites are: The Lux series, The Origins series, The Harbinger trilogy, de Vincent Brothers trilogy, and From Blood & Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. A Court of Thorn and Roses and Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas. Sweet Evil series by Wendy Higgins. An Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir. Graceling realm by Kristin Cashore. The Folk of the Air by Holly Black. The Deal by Elle Kennedy. Cocktail series by Alice Clayton. We Hunt the Flame duology by Hafsah Faizal.
Another passion of mine are dogs. It’s my dream to one day open up a sanctuary to give the many unwanted pups a place to be safe and cared for. I actually have 3 fur babies – Nala, Harley, and Bailey. Harley and Bailey are actually rescues, Harley was left at the dog training facility I took Nala to and Bailey is a rescue from Korea. When I need to take a break from reading or working on my IG or something book related, they’re always here to keep me busy.
